Starting your own private label clothing company, as hard as you might think not. I assure you that Bhidiyo, Paul Frank, Hurley and Von Dutch's founding members, mad geniuses of fashion are not. Provided that you are following your brand rise to stardom can copy:

1. A decent logo

2. Creative concepts and graphics - Design Talent

3. A unique, blank apparel supplier

4. A decent screen printer

5. A Line Sheet to show potential buyers

6. Sales and promotional talent.

Who do you think is most important? Its obviously design talent you say? Are you kidding? You must be joking. You stepped out of the house recently? Have you seen Von Dutch clothing? Crayon weilding Chimpanzes produce better designs. Also, I think Monkey and sanitary, but I digress.

# 6 is clearly the most important element. You fashion forward, creating a complete line of beautiful clothes, but if you can not pitch it - no one will ever see (except of course your mother). So, unless you want a closet full of your fantastic designs, ask yourself the following two questions:

I sell?

In other words ...... I can hit the pavement with my line sheet and every boutique clothing store I can get to walk in? Then I will be out of hell, retail clothing store buyers so upset that they spell my 06 "(Clothing Convention) to try to squeeze 5 minutes of time?

I make a professional presentation to a Nordstroms buyer may be able to?

I promote?

I gureilla marketing ideas and creative viral or to kickstart the label?

If the answer to both questions is - you better get some help. That could be a fashion which also funny outgoing, aggressive as hell on the phone is great and the emotional feel. Lastly, (and superficially) will help your sales rep is hot.

I know, terrible ..... How sorry, I being an equal opportunity blog said nothing about the purchase:)

That being said, I welcome you the shallow end of the pool ..... Ie the fashion world.
